Well, to celebrate submitting my first story for publications, one of my awesome friends made me delicious scones. YUM. Yes, I wrote a sci-fi story. For Her Mind is about a grad student and his love afffair with a brain in a jar. From someone elses calculations, apparently I might be paid eighty dollars for this. I'm not sure yet. I hope to hear in a few weeks.
Meanwhile the noveling is going OK...not stellar. Forgot to write yesterday, but that's OK. I'll get it done in overtime I suppose. I hope this thing really comes together...stays on track that is. Hmmm...
Should upload some stories soon...after I'm finsihed digesting delcious scones and Earl grey tea.

So Far....
Howdy! Thus far in my quest to bring this site alive, I have uploaded a few of my stories, including a new one which you can read here.
Anyhow, I hope the many great writer/blogger/readers out there will enjoy what I have posted. I don't think its my best work, but then again, I don't think anything's my best work, so we'll see.
This new story I just uploaded is the start of something new for me. I just finished Stephen King's amazing guide for writers (entitled On Writing) for the third time, and I want to act on one of the suggestions in his book. King suggests, for a beginner, writing a thousand words a day. If a thousand seems like a lot, its not. Its all of a page and a half, but hey. I don't write everyday, and if I want to get a novel published one day, I have to be disciplined. My dear friends are being very supportive of me, and I thank ahead of time any bloggers who also like my stuff.
On an unrelated note: tis the season for NanoWriMo! More on that later.
Happy Writing!
