My name is Chris Marchello. Nothing more, nothing less. I currently an amatuer author who hopes to become pro one of these days. Currently looking for places to sell my work to, which I will no doubt tell you about.
I began writing out of necessity. Like most writers, I was a reader first. In school I was ahead of some others in this department (but behind almost everyone in he MATH department BLEH). So, wen middle school came around, I was told by most of my teachers and friends I was a good writer. I couldn't figure out why, still can't.
I often wonder if I am good enough to get published at all. A lot of my friends and teachers have in the past. I'm not sure though. Well, I'm going to find out I guess.
What do I do when I'm not writing? I have an addiction to facebook and Wikipedia. I also enjoy youth group and hanging out with my closest friends (most of which are girls for some odd reason). Work at a small market and college also fit in their somewhere. I am a Christian, and one of my greatest desires in life is to serve God through my writing. He gave me this gift, and He did it for a reason.
It took me a while to finally come to the conclusion that I wanted top be a writer, or ever could be. My parents often told me to choose something else to major in college, because if you don't, you're going to be living in the basement and pumping gas your whole life. Well, I only have one life. If I'm not even going to TRY to do something I love and use one of God's gifts, why bother living in the first place? It would be a sin of omission not to act on the opportunities I have had in life, and to accomplish my dreams while I am still a young man.
This is me. I am just a man. That's all I'll ever be really. Writers though can take the form of anyone; plumbers and politicians, chefs and taxi drivers...anyone really. I hope one day, everyone has the opportunity to write something beautiful....if only.
